About The Hitcher 💬
- Whatever you do, don't stop for The Hitcher.
You can go on all day about the reasons why THE HITCHER is awesome, but we think it all comes down to how it offers thrills and carnage in spades while also completely transcending the usual trappings that come with many 80s horror movies
- Never pick up a stranger.
If you want a simple setup, here it is: Jim Halsey (C. Thomas Howell) picks up a hitchhiker in Texas named John Ryder (a dialed-in Rutger Hauer), who just so happens to be an icy psychopath hell-bent on terrorizing him for miles and miles. But, with the help of trusting waitress Nash (Jennifer Jason Leigh), Jake might have enough to put an end to Ryder's reign of terror.
Out on the desert highway, the rule of thumb has a different meaning...
