"In the third millennium, the world changed. Climate, nations, all were in upheaval... The Earth transformed into a poisonous, scorched desert, known as 'The Cursed Earth'.

In the future, one man is the law.

Millions of people crowded into a few Megacities, where roving bands of street savages created violence the justice system could not control.

Law, as we know it, collapsed.

Based on the comic book by John Wagner. Judge Dredd (Sylvester Stallone), the most formidable and revered of the Street Judges, acts as the police, jury, and executioner all in one. Yet, after Dredd is convicted of the murder of a snooping reporter, he enlists the help of a prisoner who he convicted in order to clear his name.
