About Camille Claudel 1915 💬
- Winter, 1915.
Confined by her family to an asylum in the South of France - where she will never sculpt again - the chronicle of Camille Claudel's (Juliette Binoche) reclusive life, as she waits for a visit from her brother, Paul Claudel (Jean-Luc Vincent).
- DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
"As luck would have it, I was reading a book on Camille Claudel's life just as she was admitted, and that she was the same age as Juliette. That struck a lightning in my soul, and I thought 'there we are!' I quite like that I know nothing about her life, nothing about her admittance, apart from a medical journal. And I liked the idea of writing a script with nothing."
